Dear Anthony

The Government are keen that if possible every war memorial in the country has some form of remembrance on this the 100th anniversary of the end of WWI. To that end all Associations have been enlisted to help where possible.

It may well be that you already have plans for how to commemorate the fallen on 11 November. However, I am writing to ask that if you haven't yet made arrangements and you have a memorial close to you which is not on the official list of visited memorials that you perhaps could carry out an act of remembrance at that location. The suggestion is that a Royal British Legion Cross 'To the Fallen' be placed on the memorial on or around 11 November. The crosses can be obtained from any RBL seller closer to the day.

No need to respond to this email. Thanks.

Yours sincerely,

Alasdair
