I don't expect the 'non Welsh'to fully understand this, and perhaps I am a little sensitive to it, but when I heard a Welsh male voice choir it really stirs my heart and emotion can well up inside me. I may not understand the words but it has the full effect on me. And Martyn you've mentioned something else that has been close to my heart all my life......Welsh Cakes, yes and we called them bake stones too. Mum was brilliant at making them. When I was a Sgt at Folkestone there were a couple of Welsh lads in the platoon. On their first home leave I INSTRUCTED THEM NOT TO COME BACK WITHOUT SOME BAKESTONES. Bless them, they brought them back for their Sgt Two tins worth.
