The Chichester Branch of the Royal Sussex Regimental Association are organising a two day trip to France to commemorate the winning of the Regiment`s last VC of WW1.
The Luxury coach will start at Chichester and pick up at Pease Pottage on the M23 and possibly Maidstone and Folkstone Services both on the M20.
After a channel tunnel crossing it will proceed to the Sambre Canal and the site of the winning of the VC by Lt Col Johnsonwhilst storming the Canal, it will then proceed to Cambrai for an overnight stay.
Day 2 will include the crossing of the river Rhonelle by the 9th Battaleon and on to Bersillies were the last man of the Regiment fell in thge conflict. The coach will then make the return journey to the UK, with drop off`s in reverse order. The trip will cost £180.
