Minutes of the AGM held at the Chichester City Club on Wednesday 28th March 2018.
The meeting opened with a minutes silence for those no longer with us.

Welfare: Pete Alner feeling a bit poorly sends his apologies.
John Bailey no updates as to his condition.
The Chichester Branch members wish Mike Humme well with his recovery and hope to see him soon.

All members were sent a copy of last months minutes via email or post. There were no matters arising, it was proposed by Eric Hensby and seconded by Paul Daines and accepted as a true record by members present.

Chairmans report: Dave Tilley thanked all members attending the AGM, especially those who travelled from Wales and Canterbury. We managed to recruit 9 new members over the year.
Our membership stands at 65 plus 6 widows and 5 Honorary Members.
In February we were guests at the Rotary Clubs Amateur Boxing Event.
The Albuhera Dinner Last year 57 attended.
In June last Year we had a tree Dedication Service for Col David Beveridge and Cpl White and Drum Major Dave Dumbleton.
We had a Veterans Buffet in July 67 members from the, RNA, RSA and QRA attended. This year our Veterans Day will be in August 6th.
We attended the PWRR New Colours Parade in Canterbury, the Annual Royal Sussex Dinner at Lewes and did a Battle Field Tour all in the month of September. The Branch intend to take 12 members to visit Priez this year to finalise the Centenary of WW1.
Last October we attended the Poppy Day Launch. In November we attended the Remembrance Day Parades and R Jenner represented the Branch at the Cenotaph, by laying a wreath.
We finished the year of with 66 Members and Guests attending our Christmas Dinner, at the City Club. This yearís will be on the 3rd December.

Secretaries report: Since taking over in June from Paul Daines who retired due to poor health, the Branch would like to thank Paul for his services during the last 5 yearís. We have achieved quite a bit, I would like to thank all members who turn up to meetings and support our functions.
This year we look forward to:
A) Albuhera Dinner This year it is on the 19th of May.
B) Coach trip to QRMG on the 10th June.
C) Veterans Roast Beef Lunch on the 6th August.
D) Priez Trip on 9th September.
E) Priory Park Drumhead Service on the 30th September
F) Poppy Day Launch and Remembrance Day Parade
G) Christmas Dinner on the 3rd December.

a) Emails from Alasdair informing of the deaths of Cpl Terence Price, and Pte David Wood.
b) Email from Alasdair ref : Belgium Liberation Celebration Dates, interested members see the Secretary for info.

d) Email from from Stuart Ingrey, offering his apologies, he may not make it back in time for meeting.
e) Letter from Barry Cobbold offering his apologies, enclosing a cheque £15 for this yearís subscriptions and a donation.

Treasures report: Eddie Drew handed out a detailed report of the financial year to all members present.
Eddie then reminded members that subscriptions are due next month.

Election of Officers: As there were no nominations forthcoming, it was proposed by Paul Daines and seconded by Bob Keen that the present committee be re-elected in block. This was agreed by all members present.

Entertainment: Our next major function is the Albuhera Dinner on the 19th of May 2018.

AOB: Dave Tilley stated that at the AGM in London, if Branches donít inform RHQ that they cannot make the AGM, those Branches will be annexed from the Association.
Dave Tilley stated that the Next year will be the 3rd year since the Monument at the National Arboretum was erected and RHQ want to mark this occasion close to the 16th of May. No details so far, this will impact on our Albuhera Dinner function, possible dates 11th or the 18th May 2019. Need your thoughts on this for discussion at next meeting.
It was proposed by Tony Booker and seconded by Fred Hill that the Branch pay for the Coach trip on the 10th of June, this was agreed by members present.
The Chairman informed members that Gary, the chef of the City Club was leaving the for pastures new, and the on behalf of the Branch members, he thanked Gary for the service he provided to the Association and wished him all the Best.
