This is one you could answer John Catt?
This is a plea for information from anyone who served in Gibraltar and worked with the Ferret Scout Car that was part of the MT fleet. If you didn't please just delete this email.
When you receive the next Journal you will see that there is an article about the Ferret that was part of the MT in Gibraltar with all three Battalions. Lt Col John Buckley, US Army, now owns it and has restored it to its former glory. However, he has the following questions:
1. If the Ferret had a fixed weapon was it a .30 Browning or a Bren or if neither of those what did it mount?
2. Since it was essentially on garrison duty was it painted with gloss paint or was it in kept more of a tactical scheme, and if so what was the colour scheme?
3. Was there a Regimental badge or a Headquarters symbol on the front slope?
If you know the answer to any of the above questions please let me know. Thanks.
