September 2017.

3 Welfare : G Wheatley is still in a nursing home.

4 Minutes: All present received a copy of the minutes of the previous meeting. There were no matters
arising . It was proposed by Trevor Cox, and seconded by Dave Tilley, that they be accepted
as true Record. This was duly passed.
5 Chairmans Report: Today we commemorate the anniversary of the Battle of Quebec in 1759, our main
battle Honour. Our reunion Dinner in Lewes last Saturday was well attended and
it was good to see so many of you there. Next year’s Dinner is to take place on the
of September. However as the overall number of those attending is in decline
and the cost of the Association’s subsidy is rising sharply, next year’s dinner will be
held in the hall were the bar is. Your cost for the event can then remain the same as
this venue is slightly cheaper. For the Reunion Dinner in 2019, Branches will be
asked to canvass their members to see if they prefer a lunch instead of a dinner and /or
a change of venue to see if more Old Comrades will attend. More about this later.
I like to thank you all for turning up this evening and my thanks to Trevor for doing
today’s draw.
