The re-dedication of the grave of Gen Murray went very well with about 60 to 70 people attending, from different organisations in Hastings and further afield, namely Eastbourne branch (thank you)and 2 serving servicemen from the Canadian army and navy.
Including the Queen's Colour there were 11 standards on parade, 3 of which were Royal Sussex, Hastings Eastbourne and The 4/5 Cinque Ports Battalion Royal Sussex.
As I said in earlier posts Gen Murray was Gen Wolfe's 2ic at the Battle of Quebec.
Thanks go to all Royal Sussex personnel who attended to help make the day the success it was.
