Pip Wicks

Posted by Bob B on Tue, Feb 07 2017 at 02:50 PM CST:

Yesterday I attended Pip's funeral at Maidstone where there were in excess of 150 attendees with an abundance of queen's ties and 2 Royal Sussex ties (mine and my son's who was carrying the Hastings branch standard).
Pip's extended family were there along with friends from cricket clubs and all sorts of other organisations His son Ian (a captain in PWRR) and daughter Sharon spoke about their dad and his cricket and fishing etc.
We found out that he played cricket for a village in Kent where he scored 290 runs, which is quite an achievement for a village player.
R.I.P. Mate.
