: Hi Colonel Rod,

I remember a few Whites (always referred to as Chalky) in the Bn. The Regiment was in Shorncliffe in Ross whilst 'A' Coy was doing the KAPE tour - the Bn was in NI then. There were only 2 companies in the Bn ('A; & HQ) due tio the run down of NS at this period & HO moved to Ross & then when 'A; Coy rejoined the Bn we moved to Napier prior to Public duties in '63. 'A' Coy over 160 strong with elements of HQ Coy personnel. I was the clerk & pay clerk for the Coy - CSM Pace was the CSM. The KAPE tour we were stationed at Maresfield Camp (Int Centre) until we were evicted due to unsoldier behaviour, and on to Crowborough Camp
