I received a letter from a lady who lives in Framfield, and is a member of The Framfield Recreation Ground Mast Opposition Group stating that a mobile phone company wants to put a 15 metre mast on the recreation field field which was given to the village for soldiers of the parish returning from the great war to sit and remember fallen comrades in the peace and tranquility of the field.
Charlie Burton , who trekked pole to pole with Ranulph Fiennes, was a resident of the village. They are asking for support against the planning application, so if anyone wants to write to Wealden Council I will supply the address etc.
The objections must be received by the 5th October.
To me, it seems like putting a bloody great mast on top of the village war memorial.
I normally don't get involved in petitions etc but I feel that this is worth fighting against.
