Thanks Tony. I certainly enjoyed my posting with the Battalion, everyone I met was always friendly.
Unlike my previous posting in Malaya to the 1st Battalion Scotts Guards (Sorry guys) where attached persons were treated like a pimple on the nose. Being marched into the CO's Office to be welcomed to the Battalion saw the CO burst a blood vessel and scream at the RSM to march me out. This put the RSM into a right foul mood and I was given a weeks show parades. Apparently my shorts caused serious offence as I was ordered to get them all changed to ones that were 4 fingers above the knee.
Thank you Royal Sussex/3 Queens, a great unit to serve with.
