: It's great to hear from Ian again after 41years. He was an integral part of the Sigs Plt joining in with us all. He also was also a very good TG operator, who taught me the workings of the C11 radio set. I first came across this radio when I was in Muckerias in Aden when Doug Jones did the early morning Sit-Rep to the Btn in Radfan Camp Aden.
: The Military world is very small, it would be great if Ian could turn up for one of our reunions in the future.
Thanks Ross, the C11/R210 was a great HF set.
I remember when we went to camp in Libya I had a job trying to stop one of the platoon operators tuning to Radio Luxembourg at night on the Regtimental net. When I mentioned one of the Coys in the desert was trying to get in touch urgently (not sure if it was Doug,) and had called me up on the Bde net, he answered "Well I don't know Morse" Happy days indeed.
