Hello WVRR,
A coalition of Portland area running clubs is starting a team race series this year. Teams will compete in 4 - 6 events over the spring and summer seasons, and all scoring will be team-based. We hope to energize the local running scene by getting more runners out to support their teams and clubs.
For the first year, the series will be fairly unofficial. There will be no entry fee for the series - runn ers will just have to register for the events as per usual. Then after each race team captains will send in a roster of who ran for them and we will figure out results.
The first event in the series will be Shamrock (any disatcne). The other events will be selected soon.
We would love to have WVRR on the scene as one of the local established clubs, even if you are a little farther away from Portland.
