Audition for reading of TAMAR’S TALE, an original screenplay by Lisa Katzman on Monday, June 8 at 8 pm at the Namasté Yoga Center located at 2568 Route 212, Woodstock, NY. (See directions below.)
Set in the Hudson Valley and San Francisco, TAMAR’S TALE is the story of a young woman who leaves college due to financial difficulties, leaves her boyfriend in order to discover how much she loves him, and gradually finds herself by working in a most unusual peep show in San Francisco.
The reading will be held at the Thursday, June 18 from 7:30 to 9:30 at the The Center for Photography at Woodstock, 59 Tinker Street, Woodstock, NY.
Actors are needed (preferably in the relative age range of the character) to play the following roles:
Tamar (21), a college student and aspiring filmmaker who eventually takes a job in a peep show.
Danielle (25), a lesbian stripper and beekeeper.
Bud (23), a guitarist and Tamar’s erstwhile boyfriend.
Tarnac (35), an young Indian cab driver and one of Tamar’s clients in the peep show.
Actors will need to be available for two rehearsal sessions prior to the reading.

Namasté Yoga Center is located at 2568 Route 212, Woodstock, NY @ Woodstock Physical Therapy less than 1 mile from the center of Woodstock, NY.
The studio is .4 mile east of the Rt. 212 & Rt. 375 intersection between St. Gregory’s Church and Gallo’s Market.
From Kingston: Take Rt. 28 West. Turn Right on Rt. 375. Rt. 375 dead ends onto Rt. 212. Turn Right towards Saugerties. The studio is .4 on the left.
From Saugerties: Take Rt. 212 west toward Woodstock. Namasté Yoga Studio is located on the Right side of the road, just past Gallo’s Market. If you arrive at the Rt. 212 & Rt. 375 intersection you have traveled too far.
