This event is being sponsored by The Woodstock Chamber of Commerce & Arts which represents many local merchants. It is our intention to support the local business community by encouraging people to come into town on Wednesdays. It is undeniable that the sidewalks are virtually empty on Wednesday evenings in Woodstock and that many local businesses could use a shot in the arm.
The Farm Festival is more than just a farmers' market. It is an event that promises to bring vitality and fun to town and is designed to strengthen Woodstock's sense of community by bringing neighbors together to have dinner prepared by some of our talented local chefs in the outdoor dining area while listening to free live music and enjoying the series of free special events that are planned for families and children.
The Farm Festival offers a variety of opportunities and we enthusiastically encourage Woodstock businesses to participate. Many Woodstock business owners are already planning to join the festival as vendors, ex. Oriole 9 and The Garden Café on the Green. Others are planning to maximize the opportunity within their existing businesses to capture the shoppers that the festival will bring to town, ex. The Woodstock Arts Consortium is planning a series of events on Wednesday evenings following the festival. We wholeheartedly encourage others to join in the spirit and do the same.
