Why not make one of Lexan? I have a small windscreen of Lexan that I cut & bent in my oven. Works well. Had a car go agricultural in front of me recently & none of the stones he threw up hit my helmet or face shield. But, I am making a screen shield for my aluminum radiator as a result (oil cooler already screened).
