: our future as a nation is not at all reflecting what we have embraced and enjoyed for over two centuries. LOL, I guess I'm trying to celebrate the rah-rah-rah of the beginning which held so much promise and MAKE it happen for the future. I know, rather idealistic. I've been accused of that on many occasions. : }

: : : Or is it just another day for you?
: : : I get very excited about this day as I think of (my observation only) how God guided our founding fathers to sever our ties from England and to create our nation as a unique land of practical freedom and opportunity. In my opinion, God left the birth of our nation in extremely capable hands and I am forever grateful for His guidance.
: : : This kind of day carries a sense of urgent renewal to me both personally as well as nationally. As great as our nation is, we seem to be going through an adolescence or perhaps a midlife crisis that marks a turning point determining our eventual direction. I pray that our road is eventually for the better.
: : : God bless America! And Happy Birthday!!
