I practice witchcraft, but in contrast to my earlier years when I found that witchcraft really worked, I am settling into a mode where I don't use the Craft to alter my life's circumstances that much anymore. I think it is a misuse of magickal principles and will impede my ability to learn from life's situations. This is the difference between practical magick and high magick, the latter of which was used more to seek spiritual enlightenment.
I do still cast my annual prosperity spell for the coming year, but there is an air of responsibility about that one and the way it is worded. It does not get me out of the need to be "responsible" in my finances. I must say I like that spell, but I have never been that much into filthy lucre. I do like shopping a bit more than the average guy...
