| Comments | My wife's mother is supposedly descended from the Daniel Boone line. her grandmother was Mary Bell Boone, b-23 Feb 1900 unknown, d-26 Jan 1960 in Macon MS. Her husband was James America Trosper. The Trospers are found in large numbers in KY, but claim NO Trospers live in MS. Also a distant cousin, Emeline Triplett was married to Israel Boone, Daniel's nephew? They were neighbors to Daniel in the Carolinas and moved to KY with him. Any help connecting Mary Bell to Daniel's family and any info on Emeline's descendents will be appreciated. I believe they may have gone to MO. While in KY they lived around the Black Fox community? Keep on having fun doing this! Looking forward to hearing from you. |

| Comments | Became interested in your site when I read the Zumwalt - Texas connection. My paternal grandmother was a Zumwalt from Mesquite, TX and most of her relatives lived in Burnet, TX. I didn't expect to read so much on my Boone Family history. My family's connection to the Boone's is through the Merrifield and Bryan Families. Wm Merrifield (b.1660 was a feltmaker apprentice to George Boone, Jr. in Devonshire, England. This Boone was Squire Boone's grandfather. The Merrifields crossed the big pond with the Boone's. There are also marriages between the two families. The Merrifields made it to Dallas, TX in the early 1840's. John Neely Bryan, founder of Dallas, TX is also said to be related to the Boones (some researchers say the have documentation and others say they can't find it). Apparently, the Boone's got around because there are so many descendants. With the Bryan's and Merrifield connection to the Boones aleady, hopefully, I will be able to determine if my Zumwalt's are realted as well. Thank you for your site. |

I am trying to find information on my great, great, grandmother on my father's side. On my great, grandfather's death certificate (John A. Davis ) it gives his mother's name as Elizabeth Boone born in Kentucky. It has no name for his father. The only Elizabeth Boone born in Kentucky in the right time frame to be the mother of John that I can find is my mother's great, great, aunt Elizabeth Betsy Boone . However she was not married to a Davis . I have looked at census records for the year after John's birth in the county where he was born and found a E.B. Boon listed however she was not listed with a son. I did find a Davis listed with a son under the age of five . Do you think this E.B.Boon could be my mother's g,g, aunt Elizabeth Betsy Boone ? (daughter of Moses ). Do you have any information on a John Davis ? My mother's g,g, grandfather is Warren Boone, brother to Elizabeth Betsy Boone. I could sure use some help on this. My gggrandfather was Daniel Austin Boone and his family came down from Ky. in 1819 to settle in Columbia, MS. We have a Boone Cemetery in Purvis, MS.
