that I adopted from the animal shelter a few years back. She is probably about 5 or 6 years old now. She has been spayed.
She was an outdoor kitty until about a year ago when she lost an eye in an accident of some sort (vet thinks she was hit). Since then, I keep her indoors and although she sometimes sneaks out, I do my best not to let her out.
This past week, we have had gorgeous weather...skies are clear and it is on the warm side but not hot. Granted, it would be fabulous weather to be outside and playing. My kitty keeps begging to go out and she will pace or just stand in front of a couple of doors that she knows lead to outside. While in front of these doors, she meows loudly and constantly in a manner that reminds of a Siamese cat I once had (she was not spayed) who would cry like this when she wanted to get out get some boy kitty action ;-)
My question is this...if a female cat is spayed, would she still have a desire to get outside for the purpose of hanging with the boy kitties?? I was thinking that since she is spayed, this desire would be gone...no?
