When we first got our Chihuahua, I did that for a while. There was a book that I checked out at the library that had a bunch of recipes in it. It's kind of expensive to do at first. You have to buy a lot of supplements etc. that gets mixed in with the food. I'll try to remember the name of that book and come back and post it.
