Many AWA members use the Kowa16H anamorphic on film cameras and even some video cameras. While relatively heavy at 530gm, it has the advantage of a relatively short barrel length (84mm)with front element of 53mm and rear element of 43mm which helps to minimize vignetting, although this also depends on the size and zoom range of the camera lens used with it. Since most movie camera lenses rotate to focus, a separate mount is needed and most owners make their own or engage the help of a handyman friend. If you type Kowa 16H into Google and bring up the PPS WIDESCREEN site you will see a picture of a Kowa mounted in front of a Canon zoom lens on a Bolex 16H. The mount is a plate screwed to the base of the camera with a rod projecting forward on which slides a 'lollipop' clamped to the rear of the Kowa. The Kowa can be swung out of the way for focussing and also moved close to the front of the Canon lens for shooting.

I hope this helps you. Tony
