Bill Fleming's anamorphic gear

Posted by on April 26, 2007 at 23:52:51:

Hi everyone, especially Tony and Les etc. Just wanted to drop a note for two reasons - 1-to say thanks (a year or so late) for the nice write-up of Bill's passing in the Scope magazine.

My sister and I are in the process of selling the house Bill and my Mom lived in and have been cleaning it out for a year. Any of you that knew my dad might have an idea what a chore this has been.

Sadly, much of my Dad's film equipment was located in a particularly bad place for storage and I had the unwelcome task of hauling projector after projector (as well as film canisters and cameras) that had been ruined by corrosion out to a dumpster last Summer.

The stuff that was in a dry area of the house has been collected and we've been putting lots of it on ebay. We did a bunch of super 8 cameras and am now looking at 3 bins of lenses etc. I wish I had better ideas of the nature of this stuff. The internet helps but - as you know - some of this is very specialized gear.

If anyone is interested in it before it gets to ebay - feel free to email me. I've got loads of pics.

Thanks and take care.
Scot Fleming
