Who has bewitched our Lady Culelen that she has deserted the noble land of Nania? Has some descendent of the white witch appeared from the North and carried her away into the Ettinsmoor? Has a giant or a troll held her prisoner in a dark cave? Perhaps she has fallen under a spell and is asleep in some forgotten tower in Cair Paravel. Once a Lady of Narnia, always a Lady of Narnia. Yet I have wandered the Mountains to the south, the Wildlands to the west, the Moors to the North and the shores in the east but have found no sign of her. She has vanished like the morning mists, like Prince Rilian; like King Lucy and King Edmund, like Queen Lucy and Queen Susan. Perhaps Aslan will come and seek her and raise her up from a heavy enchantment. Perhaps she is already in Aslan's country beyond the Western Sea? We have to go on, those who are left here. Looks like rain again today, No doubt I'll get back to my wigwam and find all the wood with wet rot. Oh! well better catch some eels for tea though I expect there won't be any.
