| Comments | I am not pagan yet the church campaign to ban halloween is very wrong and breaches hate laws. I congratulate you anti-defamation people for highlighing this injustice and hope your religious community are behind you as they should be. This link you mention must be seen by all freethinkers. http://halloweenchoiceorg.bravehost.com You must seek a genuine apology from Dr Williams, their archbishop, and his church for this insult. He cannot hide. |

| Comments | I stumbled across this lovely PAN site by accident whilst researching the dangers of monotheistic fundamentalism at Uni. I also just received (faster than expected) a copy of Regan’s New Pagan Handbook as well and I have to say that it is a delicious stab at numerous accepted religious traditions pushed into our faces as facts by the priesthoods of the self-righteous orthodoxies. They should place this book in all the schools so that kids have a choice rather than the usual inoctrination they always get. |

| Comments | I am very moved, part to hand and underhanded, after reading your confessions on this blog. I must commend your Magical Posture for revealing this much to the workers of the craft, as I also share the knowledge that may reveal more light to others. I am an Traditional Catholic Bishop, my name is Jason Spadafore (you may know my Raphael Society, we share open communion?). My Episcopal Career passed to me through the independent Roman Catholic Bishops of both +Duarte Costa and +Ngo Dinh Thuc lineage (although I admit, like Anglican lines, these have been dubbed doubly dubious in various circles). And even in my limited layman's yet learned knowledge, I must admit, at times I even have questions about that my legacy of orders. Anyhow, I read a review of Dear Scholar-Bishop Joseph John Violet of St. Vitus (who referenced this web page in relation to Communicatio in Sacris), I am hoping to meet him, I am always looking to add more traditions to my lineage, and his Orthodox Succession is for sure validly Apostolic--I affirm that! I would love to meet you, perhaps you may want to visit (and stay at) my home sometime in Ohio? Do you travel to Dayton, Ohio Area often? I also have a nearby priest-friend who is married (named Rev. Ronald Brown) and lives happily with his wife-nun of the St. Benedict Center after getting special dispensation from a traditional and very friendly good old Roman Catholic Bishop (The Most Reverend Bishop Timothy Henneberry - who I also openly desire to know). So, if you come by, we could share some time together about our developments concerning clerical celibacy, something Anglicanism has shared with Roman Catholics for sometime (and also our Orthodox brethren) bringing together a "best of breed" magic-theology. I am very curious to your view on the current Schism in California (Episcopal Diocese of San Joaquin) with the Anglican Communion over openly homosexual bishops, not sure if you have any inside information about this? As far as the Witchcraft of "Communicatio in Sacris," I am in the same bed as you, to be up front, I roll around many issues such as Sedevacantism, Natural Family Planning, Judaism, Harry Potter, and Orthodox Old Calendar Traditionalism (just as with my Merlin-like wizard-mentor and spiritual father the Most Reverend Bishop Patrick Taylor has courageously come out of the closet a few times to softly talk and roll around these matters deeply despite being called all sorts of names, like schismatic, Old Catholic, Modernist, Sodomite, Warlock, etc.), and yet at the same time, I am worried about the Stigma running in circles these days dubbed "Ecumenical Witchcraft" with the spell of "Communicatio in Sacris" wrapped around it like a snake surrounding a staff. As a Bishop, I would entreat you to consider how we could work together, but I will take you up on your elder knowledge for sure, you say you are Doctor? That honestly is very impressive. I try to emulate the Rev. Dr. (Bishop?) Montague Summers, and I must admit Good Old Anglo-Catholics have a special place in my heart. I will consider zipping your "Thumbs Up" Review in short, for I have to talk one-on-one with my personal Theologian, Deacon Michael Carter (a former Protestant Bishop who served for about 20 years in the Revival Movement yet remained authentically Catholic) firstly to see if he could be instrumental in donating some resources to review this new title condemning Ecuemnical Witchcraft before I could as a Bishop (ex officio) officially review the book "Communicatio in Sacris" of Dr. (?) DeTucci, who I am very curious about, I did see his page: http://www.vladcatholic.com As a Minister of Exorcism, I am a little worried about his emphasis on Vlad Tepes, although Vampirism is a real Mystery of Iniquity and thankfully somehow I am aware of this through my years of experience in the specialist crafts of demonology, thus I know the vampire and the many misfortunate Eastern Orthodox Brethren appear to be (I do not mean to offend Bishop Violet) somehow linked to the topic of Eucharistic Sacrilege and precisely "Communicatio in Sacris." But this troubles me, maybe Dr. (?) DeTucci has the right answer? Finally, I like to say thank you, the brothers, I am wondering also what you think of this Catholic exchanges on Communicatio in Sacris and Intercommunion? Your page is very pretty. Keep up the good work! Sincerely in the New Christ, +Jason Spadafore A Modern-Day Montague Summers |

| Comments | Much is said about Paganism that is untrue - it is good to see that we have an active voice that does what it can to defend us. |

| Comments | “attempts to quash women's empowerment” .............. Eh, what exactly is ‘Sam’ going on about? I must have been reading ‘another’ site for nowhere on the PAN site have I noticed such suggestions. Quite the reverse in fact is the case as PAN have promoted the genuine “equality” of the female gender all along. I think that the writer of the above comment must have a certain hidden agenda (mention of the Vatican perhaps being a give away?) which isn’t surprising really when you recognize how many hackles that the roughnecks at PAN have ruffled over the years. Do these fundies never get off trying to defame PAN in some way? Go figure Sam... Ho ho! |

| Comments | I've really enjoyed my first-time browse of PAN's site today; good to see others getting angry too, as 'dark' as that may sound. However, I was very disappointed in comments under the heading 'Feminism in Paganism'. I can't help that feel that Gardner, the old charlatan, has much to posthumously answer for for setting back the true process of sexual equality in magick with his Masonic leanings. There will always be those that clutch to outdated views such as these - as if a 'real' pagan woman 'knows her place', but all this really exhibits is frankly a bit too much about the writer's personal relationships. I was rather offended - a shame, in the midst of enjoyment of the site - to be branded a Christian. Every witch is of their times, dear author. These are still, for better or worse, more difficult times in which to be a woman than a man. Your attempts to quash women's empowerment remind me somewhat of the reactions of the Vatican to liberation theology. Think on. |

| Comments | could u manage an email update on a daily basis with a view on current events / pronouncements by those in orthodox power? this would balance the (at least) left christian views that inhabit my inbox and the other stuff from greenpeace , care 2 (connect) and the xtian science monitor etc. Also any info on where the symbolic "cross of slaves" originated from , including where to get a safe metal one and whether there is in fact a connection to spartacus / the slaves revolt |
