CommentsI feel so blessed to have found the Camden Rescue Mission. I feel like it has changed me. Just days before Christmas we were trying to find a place to donate, the Stewart family was very welcoming and appreciative. We were even invited to help give out toys.

This Christmas Eve was the best one that I can ever remember. The kids that I met were so happy and they did BELIEVE!!! It was a Christmas Spirit that you can only feel.

I've always wished that EVERYONE could have a Merry Christmas, and The Camden Rescue Mission does a wonderful job at making that happen!

THANK YOU

CommentsDonating a few toys for the kids has become one of the things I look most forward to at Christmas time. From Mercedes' friendly emails, to the really nice guys who help me unload when I'm dropping off, I feel humbled and proud of the fine work the Mission is doing.

CommentsGod bless! I' m a single mom of a 4 year old girl(will be 5 in January). I'm seeking employment with the help of workforce. I happen to have a second interview with the Veterans Health Admin., but the interview and the position is in North Jersey. I was told that if they happen to hire me, I could possibly get assistance to move. As I always pray for others in need, please keep my daughter and myself in prayer as, like so many others, are struggling. I'm still waiting for social services to pay my rent and others things as well. I'm hoping they could extend their services as finding steady employment is not easy, espeially without a car and limited help with my daughter(who is in Pre K). We don't even have that much in our new apartment.

Thank you, and God Bless You!

CommentsMy nine year old son has been praying every night for his family member and even my co workers which he doesn't even know. One day i told him that someone on the list got better and my son asked me mommy why doesn't god answer my prayer! he had asked God for a Dsi game system. thanks to the Camden rescue mission and the donors, God answered his prayers. He was so happy when he opened his gift from God! He said thank you "God" and he made a commitment to God to continue to pray for his family and also for the elderly and sick. Thanks Again!!!!!:)

CommentsMy name is Tracy and I am a waitress. My childrens father was arrested 3 days before Christmas (he is not a criminal, it was all about money)and I was struggling to keep a smile on my face. A member of The Camden rescue happened to come into where I worked and asked me why I was crying. I told her that my kids were not going to have a Christmas because I had no money and their father was incarcerated. I went as far as to tell them there was no Santa. I really regretted telling them that. On Christmas eve Pastor Stewart called me and asked me if he could come to diner with some stuff for the kids. When he got there he and his wife gave me 2 bikes, helmets, jackets and 2 bags of toys for the kids. I was overjoyed and speechless. They didnt ask for anything in return except for me to post my story. They are incredible people and I will forever be in their debt. I plan to now join the mission because they have restored my faith in mankind and my children are happy and now again believe there is a Santa and a God. I cannot thank them enough for the most magical Christmas they gave us. I love you all...God bless you

CommentsWell, Rev., Mrs. Stewart;
All good things come to an end... Sadly I had to go but I will keep you in my prayers. To Ruth "I lost the greatest thing I ever had! You will occupy a dear place in my being, heart and mind! With my deepest of feelings I dreadfully miss you! In my life there will never be another!"

CommentsI took the time to view your website because I am in need of your help this year. A man on the bus told me about all of the great things that your mission does and about Reverend Stewart. I hope to meet him soon. I have children and left an abusive relationship and I am on my own this year. I am only receiving welfare and it's so hard being a single parent. But God is good and I know that he will provide for my family. I have been looking into going back to school and getting ready to take the placement test at the camden county college to get into their nursing program. When I finally get my life back in order I would love to be one of the many people to help at your mission not only by donations but whatever else I can do. I looked over your whole website and I think your mission is just wonderful. I really hope that me and my children will be able to attend your holiday party to meet Rev. Stewart and his wife. They seem like such wonderful and caring people. It was really hard for me to ask for help but it makes it easier knowing that the help is coming from such a wonderful group of people. Thank You ahead of time for any help that you may be able to give my children and I. Sincerely, Melissa Fischer

I've been raising this boy since he was 1 week old he is now 3 years old. I want to tell you about this wonderful non-profit organization that has helped me in ways that I thought were not possible, you see I have no job and live on $210.00 monthly income For thanksgiving the Camden Rescue Mission presented me and my baby with a basket of food I was so surprise I cried. now they came and told me not to worry about Christmas for my baby. I never thought that there were people that still care for others not just at the holidays but all year long. The Rev. Al & his wife a loving and wonderful people that we are blessed to have in our neighborhood. I just wanted to say Thank you. and May God bless them to keep doing this wonderful work they do.
