I am presently looking at a document from the GF Museum (Historical Society) on the McCormack (McCormick) family as I have ancestors in that line. It was prepared by Mr.Eldon Mills. It indicates that Joseph McCormack, Grand Falls Pioneer was a native of Co.Tyrone, Ireland. He arrived in this country in 1822.
