I don’t know if you’re aware of the Provincial Archives website at www.archives.gnb.ca. You can access vital statistics by clicking on “government records”. I found many “Cox” records. Although George is not there because he was too old, many of the names are probably his descendants. I found several references to George and Elizabeth on the same site in the New Brunswick Newspaper Vital Statistics, just click on “full text search” and put in “George Cox” in the box. I found some background info on George in the reference to his death. You may have to read Dan Johnston’s intro to see just what his abbreviations mean.
I hope this will further your search. I shall look at the Grand Falls census reports on my next visit to the library.
