He says this is a dense venous angioma that is finally showing vasularity enough to be sure that's all it is. It may or may not be contributing to DS's headaches and seizures and the 'possible leak' seen over the summer appears to be artifact after all.
I'll tell you what - I could hardly be happier about NO surgery and knowing this is a benign entity, with restrictions lined out specifically.
We're in the process of follow up with a neurologist, which was the suggestion of the neurosurgeon today.
He basically wanted to see him for himself, hands on, test and check all the little nuances and he is satisfied. We truly ADORE this guy and he made our lives this/much closer to heavenly today!
Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes - we've other things to work on but knowing it won't be brain surgery is SUCH a relief!
