I only went out today...

I had a super-strong hit not far from from you; it shook the whole boat. Unfortunatly, I had just droped the herring and layed down on the back of the boat to "inspect my eyelids" when it hit a few mins later.

I only got a Largemouth and a 5lb hybrid around dawn farther north in less than 30 feet of water; the other 2 guys with me only caught smaller than our min size requirement, we only keep 15"+.

But, the small guys were chasing balls of bait to the surface at dawn and schooling a bit. It's interesting to watch that on a Sonar and then see 'em bust on the surface a second later. At least now I know what balls look like on my Sonar.
