yellow perch

: it was windy this morning and the bite was a little slow in cherokee creek. i caught one largemouth 3 lbs or so, a FAT yellow perch that is probably close to 2 lbs, and 2 small hybrids. my buddy also caught 2 small hybrids and that was it. my drift sock worked very well, it slowed the boat down enough for us to be able to keep our downlines pretty much vertical in an 8 to 10 MPH wind. i think the cloudy windy weather, or the large moon has slowed the morning bite a little. oh well, i'll be back out next weekend to try it again!
