Well, I have my doubts. I agree that there were a lot of good interacting between Kes and The Doctor and she did get a lot of screen time. But I think they should have made her counselor or something like that. As it was, she was restricted to sickbay most of the time and most of the dialogues in sickbay were between The Doctor and Janeway. In fact, a lot of criticism against Kes on different discussion boards is about that "she was just an asistant to The Doctor, like nurse Ogawa on TNG". I don't agree with such stupid comments but I should have wanted more screen time outside sickbay for Kes.
