Roxann Dawson hasn't been treated badly really in the episodes in Seasons 4+ (Day of Honour, Revulsion, Random Thoughts, Extreme Risk, Barge of the , Muse etc) and she has had quite a lot being Chief Engineer. However in TNG, Geordi became way underused with him being down in Engineering and that. The relationship between Tom and B'ellana is really good and there were hints of it a long while ago, like in Bloodfever and The Swarm, I think.
Lynx, didn't you like them making Kes the Doctor's assistant? It was good that they did, I think. As she was being trained and her friendship with the Doctor. And onlythat gave her screen time in episodes she wouldn't have otherwise been seen in, which is quite a few!
