With the European elections now behind us it is time to look to the future and the next general election. I noted with interest an earlier article by Steven Uncles regarding smaller parties joining together with to form an English Democratic Alliance at the next election. Whilst I can see the sense in the proposal, how do others think?
To appeal to a wide electorate we, as somebody mentioned in an earlier posting, must not be seen to fight as a single issue party. An expansion on other policies, NHS provision, education, affordable housing etc, is required. If we do not I am afraid we will be brushed aside as irrelevant and this would be regretable.
