Standing for London, not Edinburgh.
Said O'Connor today, "I'm alarmed by the state of our political discourse and a democracy that is failing Londoners on such a spectacular scale. I'm standing for London and that means we have to review the amount of taxes that flow from London to other parts of the UK including Scotland, so that our taxes are invested in London, not Edinburgh.
"We must also place families and communities at the heart of our agenda. 27 teenagers died last year in a violent harvest of bullets and blades on the bloodstained streets of our capital city and the role of fathers is absolutely integral to solving this problem. London is in breakdown - family and community breakdown - and I believe that as an agent for change, I can restore and repair our broken city."
"With regard to spending, the Mayor is profligate and has morphed into a great bloated newt jealously guarding his gold hoard. For motorists he is the Highwayman from Hell and for taxpayers he is 'Cashpoint Ken' the man who is milking London dry."
