: javascript:void(location.href='http://tinyurl.com/create.php?url='+location.href)

: from tinyurl.com

: ok, we post alot of long url's here, so, this is a good one... one of the popular url shortener sites is tinyurl.com... i have a complaint or two with them compared to other similar services, but, they actually provide a bookmarklet on their site to instantly make a long url into a "tinyurl"...

: ok, the usual, copy the script EXACTLY the way it appears, and take out ALL spaces that will occur when it line breaks, and save it in the url space of a bookmark, with the title "tinyurl" or something you will recognize later, and, when you need it, it is right there in your bookmarks, copy it, paste it into the url bar (clear the "http://" first), and hit 'ok' and it will instantly take you to the tinyurl for the page you ran it on...
