Clip their wings.
Clean up the poop every day.
I have a wicker basket lined with a plastic bag and a few paper towels placed on the floor right below Magoos perch (on the outside of his cage).
I've trained him to poo while at the end of this perch, and all his droppings end up in the basket.
Magoo will actually hold his business in the mornings until I let him out of his cage and he can go to his poo perch. He lets fly with some impressive loads for a little guy!
