We just returned from an 1800 mile round trip car trip and Ariel LOVED it. The most important thing we did besides use a smaller cage for travel (it's a miniature version of his normal cage, same general set-up so it was familiar but not much room, of course) was to make sure we kept to the same schedule for feeding and covering the cage, and to make sure at least two sides of the cage were covered. He watched the road go by the whole way and it was too much stimulation for him to see two views going by at 75 mph. Because the cage was so small land he was so confined, I tried to clean the bottom of the cage and change the paper at least three times.
