An easy solution for the humidity problem is to take him to bathe with you. Let him perch on the curtain while you take a steamy shower. If he lets you (it will take a few tries) once you are done turn the temperature down and put him under the cool running water. Also get him a large enough water bowl where he can easily jump into and make a mess. On days that are cool and dry (and I dont have time to bring them to the shower with me) I put a wet (not dripping) wash cloth at the top of the cage, as it dries they have some humidity.
