Good for you for taking on a sick bird!!!! It gives me so much hope for all of the misunderstood and mistreated feathered friends out there! Someone was talking to me about the budgie his kid had in his room that everyone forgot to feed so it died. Like it was a funny story or something - it just makes me sick that people think these birds are disposable like that. God bless you for helping and taking on that Too!
Not exactly sure what is up with mirrors and birds. My GCC sometimes plays and 'fights' with her hanging mirror. My budgies snuggle and talk to the birdies in the mirrors. My mom's tiel can't have a mirror because he becomes very aggressive and refuses to eat or even move when he has one. It's one of those birdy mysteries I guess.
