I also give Keegan, the GCC, birdie bread every morning, and a "mash" at night. I use progrow birdie bread, but there are a lot of varieties out their. (this one has yams, egg whites, spirulina, and other veggies and grains.) When I make it I first cook and puree a couple of pounds of Kale, which is really high in vitamin K. I mix in the kale, other veggies, a ton of cinnamon, and some steel cut oats (for texture.) So basically, the trick is to find a way to give your parrot a wide variety of foods every day, and then find a way to make sure that s/he is actually eating it all.
our night time "mash" is from beak appetite, but to that I add several jars of carrot baby food, a bit of lentil, buckwheat, bulgar, etc. all of the above gets frozen and I only make have to make it every 4 months or so.
