In case any of you are interested because I know a couple of you were working on trying to use it.
I got the new, correct size suit (JR SM) in the mail last week. I put it on him twice just in the house. He wiggled like crazy but I put it on him too quick for him to have much time to think about it. It seemed kind of heavy for him at first and when he tried to fly, fell quickly to the ground, after which he spent the entire time it was on chewing on it to get it off. I decided to wait until it was nice enough to take him outside to put it on him again because he hated it so much and someone said something about their GCC being distracted by being outside. So on Tuesday after work, I quickly put it on him. Again lots of struggling. Oh, also, the lease that came with it made the suit extra heavy and uncomfortable so what I did just until I can figure something else out was close the suit normal without the velcro hole that comes with the lease and I put a heavy duty safety pin on the middle of the back of it and attached the lease to the instead which helped make it more comfortable for him.
So anyway, when I took him out on Tuesday, he completely forgot about the flight suit for the most part. He freaked out as soon as we got to the porch so I wrapped his blanket around him except for his head and held him again my shoulder and we walked carefully down my street. A couple times he freaked out again when car would pass by or something loud like that. By the end of it, he was confident enough to want to sit up on my shoulder. As soon as I got home with him, I took the suit off of him because I want him to eventually associate it only with the idea of wanting to go outside.
Yesterday again as soon as I got home I put the suit on again. Again he struggled like mad against it, maybe even more than the day before. But once we were outside he forget it was there and went right to being confidently (mostly) on my shoulder.
