I live in a rowhouse, with few windows, soo Keegan the GCC has full-spectrum lighting on him at all times. You could buy fullspectrum bulbs (go to home depot, buy a flurorescent light that's like 18 inches and an 18 inch full spectrum light for it.) Or you can go to a pet store/online catalogue and get one.
I think GCCs are not known for talking--and the males tend to talk more than the females. Keegan is about 10 months old--for a while he was almost saying about 5 or 6 phrases. But once he mastered "step up" he's given up on trying anything else!
