Got a few questions here!

I will be moving in with my dad in a month or so, and the room I'm staying in is a basement with no window. He has 3 cats (with claws), so I can't put Monkey's (My GCC) cage upstairs. Will this effect my bird in any way? (Having no sunlight, a bit more chillier down there so ill have to use a heater)

My other question is, how do you get them to talk? Monkey is 10 months now, and I have not heard him say one word at all.

Also, with the shower perch. When I'm in the shower with him, he doesn't freak out or anything but he's very quiet and keeps to himself. Does that mean he doesnt like being in there or he's relaxed and enjoying?
