Cherry bark is usually considered poisonous. It can't be THAT poisonous since my dog has chewed up some cherry branches when we trimmed the tree, but it is one that's safer to avoid.
I use apple, maple, birch, box elder, honeysuckle, and willow for my birds. I use my own trees so I know they aren't sprayed, and usually wash branches first.
