Don't shake your finger at them! Thats quite possibly the worst thing you can do...it'll just get them more riled up. When my CG gets a bit nippy I'll apply gentle, but firm pressure on the beak with one finger and say "no bite." It's come to the point where I only have to say no bite, and she'll stop it.
