: : Greetings. I recently aqquired a Sportsbrake body and would like information on it. I would like to restore it myself but haven't decided for sure yet. What is chiefly concerning me now is the glass for the rear hatch. I can;t fathom what it is from. Also i would like info on the original chassis which is now gone. Any info would be appreciated

: Photo's of your shell reveal this to be the prototype Sportsbrake., long thought lost. Car also has unusual and rare Touring Bonnet. This body should be able to use a chassis from suitable wheelbase Typhoon or with modifications Tempest or Thunderbolt. Look forward to hearing more. Dave Malins - Tornado Registrar

Further research shows that sidewindows and rear hatch were perspex (plastic). Curve on rear window was produced by a profesional company at the time. I have specialist company in UK who can reproduce if required. Your front windscreen is MGA Coupe (not the open car).

Look forward to seeing car again.
