It was a perfectly ordinary day, no aliens or anything, and Maria, Clyde and Luke were walking home from school. As usual, Clyde was trying to bribe Luke to do his homework for him, and Maria was lost in thought about her English project.
Suddenly... 19   Clyde gave a yell and Luke and Maria looked up in fright. A huge circular object was hurtling towards Earth and came down with a huge BANG somewhere in Bannerman Road.

Maria, Luke and Clyde hurtled around the corner fast enough to break the hundred metres record. The object had disappeared now, yet they knew it had come down nearby. At that moment Sarah Jane, out of breath from a frantic run down the attic stairs, literally bumped into them, asking where the UFO had gone.

"It landed here, it definitely came down near here," Maria mused, all thoughts about the life of Anne Frank shooting right out of her head.

Sarah lifted up the lid of her watch, and turned round until she could see where the signal was coming from. The location made her words stick in her throat.

"Maria," she said, gently, "I think something landed in your back garden."

Maria stood stock still for three seconds, then dropped her schoolbag onto the pavement and ran into her house. Luke, having picked up her bag, Clyde and Sarah followed.

"Dad?" Maria yelled, fling open the front door. When he didn't answer she started to worry, until she remembered he was working late tonight. Panic over, she ran through the kitchen, neatly dodging the table, to the garden.

What she saw made her heart stand still. 20   the UFO was in Maria's Garden

Chrissie stood beside it
'What kind of ornements are your dad buying now'

'How are you here mom ?'

'I Came to see you darling , the door was open'

'Leave now mom, please'
as Maria said this a dalek came out of the spaceship and exsterminated Chrissie and then Maria ! 21   Sarah Jane ran and saw what had happened."NO!". Clyde AND Luke followed. A group of 3 Daleks surrounded them. Clyde and Luke ran. Sarah Jane was taken prisoner.
Maria and Chrissie awoken on another spaceship. Their captors had a time war.
Maria wondered if they were the Legendary Time Lords... 22   Chrissie moaned and opened her eyes. "Did that silly lawn ornament explode?" She blinked and added: "And where the hell are we now?"

"Do hush, Mom, or they'll hear you!" begged Maria.

"PRISONERS WILL BE SILENT!" croaked their Dalek guard.

"Too late," sighed Maria. 23   * * *

' Ohh ... my god ' Donna Noble started as the daleks knocked down her door , and then exsterminated her and family .

'Noo....' had screemed Gwen as Her and Ianto Where exsterminated ,in the hub while they took Jack hostage ...

Martha Jones wasn't felling well after last night she felt a bit ill , suddenly without anywarning a dalek exsterminated her ...

Astrid Peth was floating around in space when she heard
'EXSTERMINATE' and thats the same with Mickey Smith ...

The TARDIS Doors opend and for the second time the doctor squeeled as he was exsterminated , but this time regeneration was no good

Luke and Clyde ducked as a dalek tried to exsterminate them ... unfortunatley Luke wasn't to lucky - but Cylde was ...
24   "Wait a Minute!" yelled Sarah, and surprisingly, everything did seem to stop for a moment.

"Something is very wrong here." mused Clyde, the only person apart from Sarah who was still standing. Sarah shot him an exasperated look. The Daleks were peering at her, their eyestalks quivering. Clyde went to Sarah and put his arm around her, unnerved at what he had just seen, He could feel her shaking. She blinked, feelling disorientated. Why was she aware of all these things? People called Astrid floating in space? The torchwood hub? A woman who shouldn't rememmber? And the daleks - they were gone, the Doctor, he had seen them off, hadn't he? And all these people - the timelines seemed to be running in the wrong order, past events were running themselves past Sarah's eyes.

The Daleks seemd to feel it to, they were swerving and swinging their arms around, screaming out about the time war.

"Time War..." Sarah breathed, but had no time to puzzle it out as the Daleks had turned their deadly weapons on her. Clyde threw himself in front of her as they fired, and Sarah screamed in horror as she felt his lifeless body smash into hers. She was knoked to the floor, and she looked up through tears at the Daleks.

"Enemies of the Daleks will be Exterminated! The Time Lords will fall! Daleks will remain victorious in the time war!" The lead announced. Sarah felt, under the blanket of fear, an emotion that surprised her a little, given her situation. She was puzzled. Of course it hardly mattered why and how the Daleks were here, but still, it defied all logic. As she realised this, she realised something else. She was aware of several different timelines all at the same time. She could feel severl people all at once. It was almost too much for her mind to take in, but she focussed her thoughts on one person and channneled her mind into that thought.

The Doctor.

The next thing she knew, she was looking up at the Daleks again. They had finally caught up with her. Her life would be ended by a Dalek. Tears of fear and fury blocked her vision. Well, she thought bitterly, at least I won't see them. Goodbye, Doctor. Goodbye Luke.

Then Sarah heard a noise that made her heart soar. Even though she ws certain of her own death now, and even though she had the confusion of the different timelines, she knew the Doctor was here. And that was all it took.

All it took for her to completly break down in tears.

The next thing she knew, there were two long, slim arms wrapped around her and holding her, and a soft, kind voice telling her feircely that he was sorry.

"Sarah, I am so, so sorry. It's okay, Sarah, it's okay. I'm sorry, oh, Sarah Jane I'm so sorry." She took a shaky gasp, and smiled weakly through her tears.
"You seem to spend a lot of time saying that, Doctor." and she smiled up at him.

The Doctor waved and slipped insode the policebox. Sarah felt exhauseted as she watched the TARDIS, UFO and Daleks dissapear. The next second, there was a confused flurry of movement, in which Sarah could barely tell who she was, and the next momnet, she was sitting on the lawn with three very much alive looking teenagers, Chrissie and Alan, the last two of which were demanding to know wht had just happened. Sarah met Alans eyes and said
"We were just rushing over to warn you, it was on the news. There's been a localised gas leak, a pipe under Bannerman Road. You two were out cold. It's all fixed up now. Alan nodded and offered his ex-wife some tea.

"So, what happened?" clamoured Clyde once they were in the safety of Sarah's back garden. "Last thing I remember was those Daleks." He shuddered, as if the memnory caused him pain.
"You realise that when you travel in time, time around you can distort and mutate. The Doctor is a strange being, you know. The time war has distorted time all over, and that means that time around the Doctor, and, by association, his companions, has become extremly volatile. There's no telling what the far reaching effects are."

"Localised time-distortion," announced Mr Smith in the attic, humming and whirring, "a random effect that is associated with traveeling in, and changing, time. It is nothing that will cause permentant damage." he conceeded, and Sarah breathed a sigh of releif. Whatever it was, it was over. She felt a surge of pity for the Doctor. Whislt she could move on from it, it was a side effect of something that he had to live with forever.
"Y'know, what with the amount of people messing around with timelines, you're lucky to exist at all, Sarah Jane." That was from Maria. Sarah smiled and pulled Luke, Maria and Clyde into a very releived hug. 25
