Commentswell if pascal is in charge then he needs to sort things out. fitness last year was terrible, the boys need to have 60 mins in the tank. also frank needs to be taking every free we get inside the oppositions half. we have the best player in the county and we need to start getting the best out of him again. with weir on form we could challenge for honours again.

CommentsThe 3 clubs would NEVER form up again. Id say bracknagh and clonbullogue would do good together, had succesful underage teams in the 80's with the 2 clubs combined. Walsh Island think they should be senior so they would never join up with bracknagh and clonbullogue. But in my opinion all 3 are evenly matched at the moment.

CommentsWell said Braknagh man. people tend to overlook the health benefits of playing sports. Bracknagh needs a dose of youth coming through. Fiona, true we need Frank more than ever but we also need the young lads coming through and theres nobody better in the county they could learn from than Frank.

CommentsIt would be a disaster for any of the young players to stop playing for Bracknagh. They are the present and the future. There are a lot of the current players getting older and for the club to survive, every possible player is needed. Players get annoyed if they are not picked for every game, but its a process everyone has to go through. If you ask any of the older players, many of them sat on the sideline for years. The benifits of being involved with the clubs are far reaching, health wise, friendships, social interaction. Its very important to keep our small rural club alive and well. slan

Commentspoint taken but do you not agree that that Weir and Connolly were not fully utilised this year. We will give ourselves the greatest chance of success by getting the best out of them 2 for a start. Let Weir kick every free and sideline we get within 50 yards.......gaurenteed points every time. We just need to be more clever than we currently are! On a bleak note for Offaly that Walsh Island team were brutal beyond belief yesturday (not just saying it cos they are neighbours...i actually hoped they win) but if this is what Richie Connors has to offer in terms of tactics then God help us.

He just wouldnt fit into the present offaly panel, perhaps if he goes drinking a bit more he might be alright. It was one of the best nights i've had in ages. Too often we only hear negative things about Bracknagh but after all the tragedies and recent disappointments it was obvious to everyone how resiliant and strong is the real community of Bracknagh.
The speeches were entertaining without being over long, well done Pat Walsh.
Charlie as ever was Charlie,we'll have to organise a retreat for him so he can learn to say Grace before meals!!!!!!!!!!
Again thanks to everyone who organised the whole event and hopefully I will see you all at the anniversary of our most recent win 2000

CommentsThanks to everyone involved in organising the dinner dance last week. It was great to see everyone again and to feel a part of such a community. I had the pleasure of talking with the people from my parents generation as well as my own teammates and friends. In addition to this I also spoke with some of the footballers of the current team who I only knew as small children. It was very apparent to me that the success achieved 25 years ago was born out of that community spirit which was instilled in us all at a young age and still exists in the current players i spoke to. My sons, who have grown up here in Holland, were moved by the display of that spirit during our visit. For myself it was an honour to show my sons and their friend why I am so proud to be Irish and to have played football with a club such as ours.

Thanks again
