I first read this back in the mid-60s after I started dating DH. His family devoured almost any kind of book, particularly Louis L'Amour and science fiction. We didn't have much Sci-FI, and I came to love it.

What's interesting on rereading these stories is that Heinlein, a real scientist, not just a Sci-Fi writer, had us colonizing the moon by the 1970s. While we didn't do that, we do have the Mir space station, the first module of which was launched in 1986. Skylab was in 1973-1974. So, in some ways, these stories published in 1951 weren't far off.
